Negotiation

Software vendors know what comparable organizations pay. So do we. We negotiate on your behalf, even for contracts that are too small for others.

Why most Software deals are not market conform

Software vendors know exactly what a customer pays for a comparable license elsewhere. Buyers usually do not. That information gap costs Enterprise organizations up to tens of percent on their Software budget. SoftVaro helps you gain clarity on this.

Our approach: benchmark data and transparency

We have benchmark data from comparable Enterprise deals: what similar organizations pay, which discounts are realistic, and where the room for negotiation lies in each contract. With that knowledge, we enter talks with the Software vendor. You stay in the background or join in, whatever suits you.

Six reasons why Enterprise organizations choose SoftVaro

Six reasons organisations engage SoftVaro instead of negotiating themselves or buying via a reseller.

We know what comparable Enterprise organizations pay for the same licenses. That is your starting point.

We are transparent about how we earn and advise what best fits your situation, even if that means we earn less.

Transparent about approach, justification, and results. You see our methodology and outcomes per contract.

Proven results

On average 8–20% savings on Software renewals, often when contracts have not been renegotiated for a long time.

You provide the contract or quote. We analyse the terms, prices, and possible improvements.

Benchmark against the market

We test your contract against benchmark data from comparable Enterprise projects. You see where the room is to negotiate a new deal.

Strategy determination

Together we determine the strategy: where the priority lies, which arguments we use, who conducts the talks.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much can I save?

That varies per contract and industry. On average we achieve 8–20% savings, often more on contracts that have not been reviewed for a long time. After analysis, we provide you with a realistic estimate.

How does SoftVaro earn?

We start small. For your first request or renewal, we agree upfront transparently what SoftVaro earns. So you know beforehand what to expect, without obligations afterward. If the cooperation goes well and grows, we make arrangements fitting the size of your portfolio together, for example an annual agreement or framework contract.

When should I involve SoftVaro?

As early as possible. Ideally 3 to 6 months before renewal, when the Software vendor offers the best negotiation room. But we can also help last-minute; the result will just be smaller then.

Do I conduct the talks myself or does SoftVaro?

You decide that. We can take over the entire process or work as advisors in the background while you conduct the talks yourself. Many clients choose a hybrid: we prepare, you sign.

How does SoftVaro handle confidentiality?

Contract information is stored confidentially and not shared with other clients or parties.

Every cooperation starts with one request.

A quote for your renewal or a new Software need. Or a review of a quote you already have. From your first request you work with the same approach as our existing Enterprise clients: a fixed point of contact, a response within 24 hours, and the full commitment of our network. Confidential and under NDA.
